Comments from the March Madness Contest 2008:

• Judge "A" says:
  • It's no disappointment to come in last place in this contest, when the top pieces are by four accomplished artists in the prime of their career. I could be wrong, but it appears that Phill is near the beginning of a road to artistic proficiency that Jason, John, Mike, and Kyle have already walked. (Pardon me if I'm wrong, Phill!)
  • I liked the design on the LION cannon. It could have been a bit more obvious, perhaps with a 'mane' somehow. This is pretty minor, but the angle of the blast from the LION does not seem to be coming straight out of it, but is angled downward. The sound effect being a roar was funny, and the coloring helped it stand out, though it could have been larger.
  • The cartoony Dethret was fun, too, and helped to defuse the seriousness of his being blasted by a cannon.
