    • Second-place pick: Mike Sagara - Four Arms are Better than Two.
    • The first, and most notable thing about this pic is how much of a departure from your usual designs, and usual style the art is. The second notable thing is how BAD the old lady's aim is. She's missing the Jack-O'Lantern.... and by the debris on the porch this isn't the first time. I can't help but feel that Honi's anger at the end isn't directed so much towards Zugbert as it is to the whole flawed, uncaring world that conspires to keep her from not just a sugary treat; but her ultimate destiny. Halloween as expression of eternal angst. Even her costume speaks volumes, the devil being the ultimate rebel who railed against whom he saw as an unfair god. (So... I take it the leg warmer/chunky heel thing is her attempt at cloven hooves?)
    • I feel for her. I really do.

    • Another strong work from Mike, with good detail and design.  HoniBuni looks cute in her devil costume but Zugbert is the winner with four arms and four bags. A cute closing panel shows why HoniBuni should be in the devil costume. I loved the peeved look on Honibuni's face contrasted with the angelic face that Zugbert has. Sagara also has the best technical artwork in the contest.

    • Here we have the clear winner. It's both cute and alluring. Zug plays the coy innocent who just happens to be getting four times the usual amount of candy - the halo was a nice addition - and Honi calls him on it. I love the character depictions in both panels, the more anime look in the first and the rubberhose “somewhat deformed” look in the second (I couldn't quite call it 'superdeformed'). I even liked the look of the little old lady.
