    • First-place pick: Jason Waltrip – PsychoDrama.
    • Hee heee.... It was tough deciding which was my favourite; the entries were all really good, and this one just barely edged out my second fave. Great animation, good punchline, AND a shower scene. The designs are more geometric and simplified than your usual depiction of the characters, but that works for the story. Makes the wild takes more... plausible, come the end. It's a good use of the characters as well, given the animosity between the two. I hadn't noticed at first, but the colouring is a nice touch; starting with a monochrome and working to a full colour panel at the end as the scene develops. Weird but effective.
    • Plus.... you know.... shower scene....
  • Judge 02
    • First-place pick: Jason Waltrip - PsychoDrama.
    • The winner this time because Jason has given us a wonderful discontinuity between the main panel and the closing panel. The horror scene referred to is an especially strong one from Psycho - and the angle with the dark outline in the foreground adds to the tension. Kudos for using the forearm to make the scene - safe- for-work. The closing panel leaves one with a feeling of relief and a smile.
  • Judge 03
    • Second-place pick: Jason Waltrip – PsychoDrama.
    • Whew! The Psycho reference was intense! I liked the strategically-placed silhouette, Honi's bland question to the shaken (and stirred!) SnowBuni, and the layout of the whole piece really impressed me. All it was missing was some carrot juice swirling down the drain (not that I was really hoping for that...). Nice!
